Film evening as part of the intercultural week in Greifswald organized by House of Resources Greifswald in cooperation with Filmclub Casablanca.

The 22-year-old German-Kurdish Elaha is engaged. As the wedding approaches, she is confronted more and more with the expectations of her environment. Torn between unconditional love for her family and the desire for a self-determined life, she has to make a serious decision.

In her feature film debut, Milena Aboyan follows a young woman with a differentiated view as she gains self-empowerment and interpretive authority over her own body. ELAHA celebrated its world premiere at this year’s Berlinale.
