Questions and Answers
Would you like to submit an application? Then you must belong to one of these groups:
• People with a migration background;
• Migrant groups and initiatives;
• Migrant organisations and associations;
• Associations and groups that work on migration and integration and are committed to social coexistence.
Your Project must fullfill this aspects:
• The project must be non-profit. This means that it must not make a profit;
• It must take place in the federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern;
• People from different countries and cultures should come together. They should exchange ideas.
Das House of Resources provides different financial support:
• The starter package is a financial aid of up to €300. It is for example for founding an association;
• Small projects receive up to €500;
• Large projects receive up to €2,000.
Starter Program
Do you have little experience with project work? Or are you planning a small project?
Then you can apply for a small project or a starter package. A small project is, for example, an event that lasts one evening or one day.
Bigger funding
Are you applying with a registered, non-profit organisation? Do you already have experience with projects? Your project fulfils some of the following criteria:
• The project lasts several days, weeks, months;
• People from different countries and cultures are part of the project;
• The project has many participants;
• The project needs a lot of funding in order to take place;
• The project has a major impact even after it has ended.
There are 4 application deadlines for large projects in 2024, which means that the House of Resources decides on applications 4 times a year. You submit the application by one of the 4 application deadlines. The House of Resources will then review the application. Otherwise you will have to wait until the next application deadline. Small applications can be submitted in 2024 without a deadline.
• Project start 16.01.2024 - 15.04.2024 = Application deadline 15.01.2024
• Project start 16.04.2024 - 15.07.2024 = Application deadline 15.04.2024
• Project start 16.07.2024 - 15.10.2024 = Application deadline 15.07.2024
• Project start 16.10.2024 - 31.12.2024 = Application deadline 15.10.2024

1. Get advice first! The staff at the House of Resources will be happy to advise you!
2. You must use the application form from the House of Resources.
3. You must draw up a cost plan. You must submit the cost plan and the application form together.
4. Please complete the application form on the computer.
5. Please print out the application on paper. Sign it by hand. If you do not have a printer, you can print the application form at the House of Resources.
6. You can hand the application in at our office. You can also send the application by post.

These cost are allowed:
• Honoraria (maximum 60 €/ 1 hour);
• Compensation for volunteers;
• Costs for the placement of orders;
• Working material;
• Fare for journeys in Germany;
• Rental costs for third-party premises;
• Rental costs for technology and other necessary items;
• Public relations work for the project (for example: flyer printing, poster production, etc.);
• Accommodation costs for speakers.
These costs are not permitted:
• Wages for employees with a permanent employment contract;
• Costs for work material that is not primarily for the project;
• Travel expenses for journeys abroad;
• Rental costs for rooms in the association Costs for electricity, water and telephone;
• Administration fee;
• Alcoholic beverages and their deposit;
• Costs for food and drink (exceptions are possible).
Important: The House of Resources only provides financial support after funding has been approved. This means that you need a written commitment from the House of Resources. You have spent money and then submitted an application? The House of Resources will not give you any financial aid for these expenses!
